Tory G. Guy
Chiropractor
Dutch & English
Tory grew up in beautiful New Zealand, where she learned early on how important good health truly is. “Poor health reduces your quality of life. It can turn you into someone you were never meant to be. But it doesn’t have to stay that way. When the right conditions are in place, the body can heal itself, and you can grow into the person you were always meant to become.”
First encounter with chiropractic
As a teenager, Tory was introduced to chiropractic for the first time. “I went with my mother to her chiropractor. I watched the rather rigid chiropractor adjust her and heard all the cracking sounds. I’ll admit, it scared me a little. But I also saw how much it helped her. That experience made me curious, and I began exploring chiropractic more deeply. I soon discovered there were many different ways to be a chiropractor. It can be gentle, healing, and completely natural.”
A holistic approach
After completing her chiropractic studies, Tory worked for the chiropractic college in New Zealand before moving to the Netherlands. She finds deep fulfillment in her work. “It’s incredible to walk alongside people on their health journey. Unlike traditional healthcare, we don’t focus on one symptom or one complaint. We look at the whole person. Through the spine and nervous system, we influence the body’s overall health. With that approach, you start seeing truly remarkable changes.”
Becoming a better version of yourself
Even after years of practice, the human body continues to fascinate Tory. “Everyone is unique and responds differently to chiropractic care. Of course, we help people heal from their complaints, but the changes often reach far beyond the physical. Chiropractic can shift your whole outlook on life. It feels like reconnecting with yourself. People tell me they’ve changed careers, reshaped their priorities, or become more present parents. Their personality expands, and they begin to live as the person they always sensed they could be. The impact doesn’t just stop with them as individuals. Their whole environment benefits, because they show up differently with the people they love.”
Taking charge of your own health
“Many people don’t realise how much influence they have over their own health. They think poor health is hereditary or something outside their control. But you can make such a meaningful difference yourself. You don’t need to overhaul your life overnight, small steps in the right direction make it so much easier to become a healthier version of yourself. That’s what I love helping people with.”
Tory as a chiropractor
Tory is a vitalistic chiropractor who strongly believes in the body’s innate ability to heal. She does her best to make her clients feel comfortable. “Chiropractic care isn’t mainstream yet, and a first appointment can feel a bit daunting. I think back to my own first experience with my mother and make sure people feel completely at ease. I explain everything clearly, and if there are children present, I let them participate so they can see that chiropractic is something wonderful, and fun!”
Tory continues to develop her skills. “I just want to be really good at the one thing I do — chiropractic. So I keep studying and refining my knowledge. The more I learn, the better I can help my clients. And that’s what it’s all about for me, helping people get the most out of life. Because with good health, life looks so much brighter.”
